Originally built in the late 60s, Lionshead was recently renovated in Austrian-inspired style. The Vail Chop House and Tavern at Vail Square offer more upscale dining options as well as a great place for slope-side cocktails. Also, the walk between Lionshead and Vail Village only takes 10-15 minutes, or there is a complimentary In-Town bus that runs regularly, all day long and well into the evening. One-quarter mile west of Lionshead is The Grand Hyatt Vail, an expansive property featuring the largest gym in Vail as well as its own chairlift (date of lift opening is dependent on snowfall). The Grand Hyatt offers a free shuttle into town if you feel like starting your ski day in Lionshead, Vail Village or Golden Peak. It is also available for a ride home after a night on the town.

Getting to Vail by car is simple via Interstate 70. Vail is located in the central Rocky Mountains of Colorado, just 100 miles west of Denver and just 30 miles east of Eagle. Upon exiting I-70, navigate to the south side of the interstate, where you will find Vail's main roundabout. From here, you can easily navigate Vail Village parking structures to the east or Lionshead parking structures to the west.
