Job Description

The Job
You will be responsible for fielding a high volume of traveler inquiries and providing our customers with an unparalleled booking experience. You will serve as a persuasive consultant for prospective renters; helping them find the vacation rental that best matches their needs.

The perfect candidate for this position is comfortable with high volume phone sales, is an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for stunning customers with great service, and a desire to overachieve individual and team goals. We support travelers 7 days a week and this position requires flexibility. Our hours are 8 am - 5 pm, 7 days a week, and holidays. You will work 3-4 days per week that can vary in start and end time, but it will include a minimum of one weekend day work.

Responsibilities

  • Lightning-fast response to a high volume of traveler booking inquiries via phone and email

  • Convert inquiries over the phone by utilizing your sales skills - we love one call closes!

  • Work across multiple booking platforms and can dexterously move between operating systems

  • Meet and exceed individual and team goals

  • Manage lead follow-up using our relationship management software (CRM)

  • Develop a genuine understanding of what each traveler needs and match the traveler with the vacation rental that best suits them

  • Thrill travelers with over-the-top service throughout the evaluation and booking process

  • Sell travelers on 4 core standards, along with individual attributes of properties in our network

  • Pitch travel insurance as an additional part of the booking process Qualifications

  • Hotel or vacation rental industry experience required

  • Minimum of 1 year of sales or customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality environment

  • You are sales driven and look to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals

  • You are a fast-study in any software environment (Salesforce.com experience a plus!)

Group Sales Rep

Job Description

Manager is responsible for generating group revenue in across eight lines of business at our resort. Primary responsibilities include solicitation, evaluation and contracting group business in addition to conducting site inspections for potential business opportunities. Ensure proper and timely turnover to ensure for quality service delivery. The position is responsible for achieving revenue and room night goals across the resort. Work with the sales team to maximize the revenue potential of the property by effectively utilizing the meeting space and up selling each business opportunity. Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Solicit, close and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, Tradeshows, etc

  • Develop relationships within the meetings and conventions community to expand customer base for future group business opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with National Sales Office and Regional team to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary

  • Partner with the operations team to conduct site inspections that focus on the customer’s needs and highlight the key features of the property.

  • Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc. and know how to sell against them

  • Provide accurate, complete and timely turnover of definite business to the Service Team to help ensure quality service delivery

  • Partner with the Service and Operations teams in providing a customer experience that exceeds the customers' expectations

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and/or exceed individual revenue and room night goals

  • Develops effective, measurable sales plans/actions based on prime time and need times for the hotel.

  • Prepares correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance when needed.

  • Executes designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve revenue goals.

  • Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Effectively use sales resources and administrative/support staff

  • Responsible for weekly sales activity reports

  • Four-year college degree preferred. However, any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered.

Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role is a Junior or Senior in an accredited College or University. Also intern candidate has prior Pricing experience or education in an e-commerce, hotel or retail environment. Must have strong analytical skills with an excellent track record of execution.


Responsibilities

  • Execute and improve upon Gondola Resorts’ strategy for vacation rental pricing & competitive intelligence
  • Learn, upgrade and automate various pricing initiatives within Gondola Resorts, partnering with the Manager of Customer Service
  • Manage, update and take responsibility for all Pricing related strategies in our LiveRez system
  • Develop innovative solutions and techniques to ensure Gondola Resorts’ pricing remains competitive, profitable and innovative
  • Influence and challenge decisions made by the team through timely & insightful analysis and modeling
  • Identify appropriate reports to support decision making, recommend and build enhancements to our Pricing reporting infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior in an accredited college or recent graduate
  • Hospitality, Business, Statistics, Math or similar education
  • Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills are required
  • Strong, hands on pricing analysis experience, preferably with LiveRez software, but other relational databases are OK
  • Experience building or enhancing reports and analysis
  • Experience working with pricing strategies in the hotel or vacation rental industry strongly preferred
  • Modeling techniques and methods
  • Takes responsibility for results, “owning” assignments and projects.


Education

Current Junior or Senior in an accredited University or College
Working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Science, travel, E-Commerce, Market Research, Statistics or Hospitality a plus
At least 2 years of experience in pricing, analytics, consulting or technology a plus
