Vail Transportation Services
Once you arrive into Vail, don't worry about getting from place-to-place. The Town of Vail has a free bus system that operates daily and connects every region including Lionshead, Vail Village, Cascade Village and more. All routes operate every 20-60 minutes depending on the season and are free of charge. The local bus system caters to the transportation of skis, snowboards, and bicycles. Buses are equipped with bike carriers that handle up to three adult bicycles. A ski shuttle connects Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek daily from 8:30am - 11:30am and returns from 3:00pm - 5:40pm.
| In order to have a positive experience with the free Vail Bus system, please follow a few simple guidelines. First, try to be early to your bus stop. Keep in mind, during your ride, there is no smoking on the bus and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. There is no charge to ride our buses. For parents using strollers, assire that the unit is collapsed prior to boarding.
Bike racks are provided on the front of the bus and bicycles are not permitted inside the buses. Also, bicycles are not allowed on the Vail Village to Lionshead buses. The ride is about 5 minutes. All buses are equipped with security cameras. |

| There is ample parking in Vail. The daily rates for parking in Lionshead and Vail Village varies by time. Up to 2 hours is free. From 2-3 hours the rate is $10.00 and 3-4 hours it is $20.00. Rates increase by $10.00 for every 2 hours after that. Parking is free from 3:00pm to 3:00am. Keep in mind, private parking structures have their own rates and may vary. These parking areas are free:
Red Sandstone Park, North Frontage Road, Donovan Park. RV`s can park in the Charter Bus Lot east of the Lionshead parking structure at 395 S. Frontage Road. Cost is $50.00 per night |
