Independence Square is located in the heart of downtown Aspen, on the Cooper Avenue walking mall, and only 1 block from Aspen Mountain's Silver Queen Gondola. This charming hotel was renovated in 2017 to bring its historic charm into the modern era. No matter what time of the year you visit, Aspen is a vibrant mountain town loaded with exciting outdoor adventure opportunities, great bars and restaurants, and fantastic shopping.

This premier second-floor 1-bedroom unit features a cozy sitting area perfect for a small get-together. Before you hit the slopes, there's a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge for a quick snack and drink. Complimentary breakfast items are also available. This room features a Queen bed and flat-screen TV. The updated bathroom features a shower and tub combo. During the warmer months, guests will appreciate air conditioning and a couch.

It was difficult to find this hotel as it is tucked away in an alleyway. The room was decent, but the garbage truck coming through at 6 am was unpleasant. Very noisy and woke us up. Parking was approximately 4 blocks away, which is acceptable in the summer. May give this place another chance, but make sure the room faces the street, not the alleyway by Belly Up. The hot tub had great views from the rooftop, which made up for it, and the breakfast was convenient.
